Mako Group is pleased to announce that it will be hosting our 9th “Dealing for Donation Day” (DfDD) again this year on the 6th October. One day every year we ask fellow members of the financial community to join us in an effort to support children living in desperate need. Thus far we have raised in excess of £2.5m since inception and we hope to add to this amount for 2011. This year all funds raised will go towards the very worthwhile efforts of Msizi Africa, HOPEHIV, FARMAfrica and Haller. These charities work tirelessly towards improving the lives of children living in desperate need in Africa, through a wide range of sustainability and development projects.
You can help by either trading with Mako Financial Markets, Mako Fixed Income or Mako Global or by making a single pledge.
- Donate all fees or brokerage generated on the day, or a percentage thereof.
- Donate the services you usually provide to Mako e.g. agree an amount of commission free trades. Mako will pay the equivalent amount to the charities.
- Make a straightforward one-off donation.
All funds raised go directly to our charity partners’ life-changing projects in Africa.
The money donated will have a big impact;
- As little as £5 can feed a child for a month.
- £10 can help run after school clubs and Saturday morning workshops.
- £15 can help to train a farmer to harvest honey which they can then sell, allowing them to support themselves and their families.
- £50 has helped two friends start a business grinding and selling paprika, enabling them to use the profits to set up their community phone booth.
